Reborn Before My Captain Fiancé’s Beloved Dies In A Plane Crash Chapter 01
The business jet was going down.
My fiancé, Archer Bellini, was the pilot.
He gave the last emergency locator beacon to Chloe, his first love.
I said nothing.
Because in my previous life, when only one of us could be saved, he gave that beacon to me.
I was pregnant.
The plane ditched at sea.
Without the beacon, the rescue team didn’t find Chloe in time.
She died in the freezing water.
Afterward, already visibly pregnant, I married Archer.
On our wedding night, he locked me in the basement and beat me with a golf club until I miscarried.
“If you hadn’t used your pregnancy to force my hand,” he’d said, “Chloe wouldn’t be dead.”
He dragged me to her grave and made me confess my sins.
He got me pregnant again and again, only to force a miscarriage each time.
A debt I owed, he called it.
In the end, I couldn’t take it anymore.
I killed myself.
When I opened my eyes again, the memories of my last life were all there.
This time, I would give him exactly what he wanted.
…
The cabin was shaking violently.
Less than ten minutes until we hit the water.
I pressed a hand to my swollen belly, my back plastered to the seat, the blood draining from my face.
The copilot, his own face a mask of grim resolve, was handing out emergency gear.
There was only one locator beacon left.
Two people in the last row hadn’t received one.
Me.
And Chloe.
The cockpit door was shoved open.
Archer strode out.
The moment Chloe saw him, her eyes welled with tears.
“Archer, I’m so scared…”
She was beautiful, and the tears only made her more so.
Archer didn’t even glance at me.
He went straight to Chloe, pulling her into his arms.
“It’s okay. I’m here.”
He murmured to the woman he held.
One step away sat his fiancée, seven months pregnant.
It was as if he’d forgotten I existed.
He didn’t seem to remember me until the copilot spoke his name.
The second our eyes met, he frowned, his voice thick with disgust.
“I told you not to get on this plane while you were pregnant.”
“You insisted. Now look what’s happened.”
“Everyone’s paying the price for your selfishness. Are you happy now?”
Archer was a rising star in the American aviation world.
Most of the crew trusted him implicitly.
At his words, the way people looked at me changed.
A young flight attendant muttered a curse, wishing me and my baby dead.
Chloe watched it all, a flicker of satisfaction in her eyes.
She looked up at Archer, her voice trembling.
“But there’s only one beacon left. What are we going to do?”
