After My Fiancé Abandoned Me I Married My Stepbrother Chapter 05

Vincent looked at him coldly.

“She has not left my territory yet.”

“From the moment the agreement took effect, she was no longer yours to arrange.”

The words fell, and the surrounding crowd went silent for a moment.

People had already taken out their phones to film.

Travelers in the airport and members of other families all watched them.

Isabella arrived too.

When she saw that Vincent had indeed stopped me, her expression twisted for an instant.

But she still stepped forward and spoke with false concern.

“Serafina, are you really leaving? Vincent locked down the whole airport to find you. Are you still going to hurt him like this?”

I laughed coldly.

“You should have asked him that last night.”

Vincent lowered his voice.

“Serafina, don’t do this. If you leave with him, you will never be able to return to the Moretti family.”

“From the moment I decided to leave, I never planned to return.”

I did not look at him again.

I turned and walked toward the tarmac.

“Serafina, once you leave, the Moretti family will no longer protect you.”

Vincent’s voice came from behind me.

I did not stop.

Damian’s man opened the umbrella for me.

“Donna Vitale, please board the plane.”

The moment that title was spoken, the watching crowd fell silent again.

Isabella’s face became very ugly.

Vincent stood where he was and watched me climb the stairs step by step.

Before the cabin door closed, I removed the SIM card from my phone and shut it off completely.

After the plane took off, the cabin was very quiet.

Gray Harbor’s butler stood not far away.

“Donna Vitale, Don Damian said that if you wish to rest, the room in the back is ready.”

I looked up at him.

“I am not engaged to Damian yet.”

“To Don Damian, once the agreement was signed and you chose to come to Gray Harbor, the marriage already existed.”

The butler pushed a file toward me.

“This is what Don Damian asked me to give you.”

I opened it.

It was not the premarital asset division I had expected.

Instead, it was a transfer of management rights for several companies under Damian’s name and a dock warehouse.

Beneath that was an account authorization form.

There was no spending limit.

I looked up.

The butler explained, “Don Damian said you are not a hostage purchased by Gray Harbor. Since you have come here, you should have your own bargaining chips.”

I closed the file.

“I can’t sign these now.”

“You may read them first. Don Damian said the decision to sign or not is yours.”

The butler stepped back toward the rear cabin.

As the plane cut through the clouds, I looked at the pile of documents before me.

My heart beat hard.

The man I had once believed would give me everything had abandoned me without mercy.

Yet my stepbrother Damian was now placing everything before me.

I had originally prepared to spend three years in Gray Harbor in exchange for freedom.

But now?
