Godmother To His Son Then I Took His Kingdom Chapter 18

At an outdoor community concert, Mara was standing on the grass, chatting with Eli.

The next moment, Graham shoved through the crowd and charged toward them.

“Stay away from her!”

He grabbed Eli by the collar and swung a punch at his face. Eli blocked it, and the two men went down, grappling on the lawn.

Mara didn’t scream.

She lifted her phone, started recording, and dialed 911, giving the address clearly. “Someone is violating a protective order and committing assault. His name is Graham Whitmore.”

At the sound of his name, Graham froze, letting go of Eli. He scrambled to his feet, red-eyed, and moved toward her.

“Mara, I just wanted to see you. He—”

“Stop.”

Mara stepped in front of Eli, raising the camera to point directly at Graham. The rage she had held in for so long had gone cold as a blade.

Sirens wailed in the distance, growing closer.

She looked at the face she had once loved so deeply and said, one word at a time, “Graham Whitmore, you are breaking the law. There is nothing between us now but court orders.”

His face went ashen.

Mara’s gaze never wavered.

“You’re not my enemy. That would require me to feel something for you.”

She paused.

“You’re just… a lawbreaker.”
