I Died In His Arms Now I’ll Marry Another Chapter 27

The roar drowned out the thunder, and the whole world seemed to fall silent.

In that moment, Adrian remembered everything.

The rain stopped.

I found Callum, but we never got our grand, heart-wrenching goodbye.

When the rescue team found us beneath the rubble, he was still shielding me with his body.

The Royal Healer said he had inhaled too much smoke laced with wolfsbane, and his old injuries had worsened. No one knew when he would wake up.

I stayed by his side for nearly three months.

I ate and slept as usual. Every day I tried one new food from a street stall. I took proper care of my hair and wore the colors I liked.

The luggage for our journey still sat by the door.

I had just packed one extra set.

If Callum never woke up, then I would go see the southern coast for him first.

I knew he wouldn’t want the rest of my life to be spent only at his bedside.

During that time, Adrian came to see me once.

I didn’t meet with him.

I only had the staff tell him that he owed me and our child two lives.

Later, news came out of Stonebrook Pack.

After regaining his memories, Adrian had completely broken down. Though he had never married in this life, he insisted that he had killed his wife and child, and even tried to slit his wrists to follow them in death.

He was saved, but nerve damage to his right hand meant he would never again be able to hold a weapon steady.

I paid him no more attention.

I was busy preparing for my wedding.

Callum and I had originally planned to marry on September eleventh, and the date was almost here.

Many people urged me to postpone it.

I refused.

Bit by bit, I sewed the edging back onto the bridal veil and had the staff decorate the Greyhaven estate with white flowers and warm lights.

On the night before September eleventh, everyone said I had gone mad again.

I wasn’t angry.

I only touched Callum’s quiet cheek and said with a smile,

“If you don’t wake up soon, you really won’t have a bride anymore.”

The room remained silent.

I sighed and started to rise.

Then, from behind me, came a smiling, fragile voice.

“If I wake up now, am I still in time?”

Tears surged down my face at once.

I gripped his hand tightly and answered through my sobs,

“Just in time.”
