I Gave The Prince To My Sister And Found My True Mate Chapter 14
Not fit.
On the day in my last life when Lucian stripped me of the title of Luna Queen to let Rosalie move into the palace’s main wing, Father had used that same word.
He had submitted a statement to the Royal Council overnight.
In it, he said that I had failed to produce a royal heir after many years, that I lacked the tolerance and judgment a Luna Queen should possess, and that he requested the Crown revoke my status.
At the time, I had still believed he might say one word in my defense.
Just one.
Now Rosalie stood behind him.
She wore a pale pink overcoat. Her face was still somewhat pale, but there was not a trace of frailty in her eyes.
She looked at me with nothing but resentment.
As if I had stolen something precious from her.
As if I had once again become the girl brought back from a remote little town—the girl who didn’t understand the rules, yet dared to dream of being treated the same way she was.
The corner of my mouth twitched.
“You’re both overthinking this.”
I didn’t yield to the Alpha pressure Father released. I simply straightened my back and said each word clearly.
“I don’t want to marry Lucian.”
“All I want is for you to complete my Pack transfer and marriage registration with Caleb as soon as possible.”
The entire garden fell silent.
It was as if Mother had only just remembered that I had already agreed to marry Caleb.
She stared at me for a long time. Her expression shifted from anger to suspicion, then finally to urgent calculation.
If I registered as Caleb’s chosen mate first, it would become impossible for me to be the Crown Prince’s political wife.
Naturally, Rosalie would then get the only place that mattered.
That very night, Mother arranged a private meeting with Queen Eleanor and prepared to go to the Royal Castle in person to explain the situation.
She never once asked why I would rather leave the Pack where I was born than remain by her side.
