Kill Him Nine Times Chapter 24
His whole body had gone rigid.
Even his voice was starting to warp.
“Cosima, I really mean it. Believe me.”
I said softly, “Matteo, if your family doesn’t agree, we’ll never make it.”
“Forget it. Before the next loop starts, remember to convince your family first.”
I grabbed a dinner plate and smashed it on the floor.
Then I picked up a sharp shard of porcelain and sliced it across his throat.
The party exploded into chaos.
Screams were everywhere.
Before the world collapsed, I saw Matteo’s father frozen in panic, and I saw Matteo’s face, utterly vacant.
The system asked me, “He already agreed this time. Why did you still kill him?”
I let out a cold laugh.
“You think I don’t know what the real end condition is?”
“It’s not over just because he says yes. I have to marry him for the task to be complete.”
“If his family doesn’t agree, what does it matter if I’m his girlfriend? I’ll never be part of the DeLuca family.”
“I honestly don’t get why you systems love giving out tasks like this. You won’t even give the protagonist a decent hand, but you still expect her to endure all this humiliation for nothing.”
The system was almost out of power.
Even its voice was weak.
“Then the next loop should be enough to complete the task, right?”
I frowned.
If time rolled back even further, where would it stop?
