Kill Him Nine Times Chapter 26

Kill Him Nine Times Chapter 26

Everyone was watching the show, smirks on their faces.

But Matteo suddenly screamed and toppled out of his chair.

It was like his body had developed a reflex.

First, he cried out about the fire.

Then he grabbed his neck.

Then the back of his head.

Then his stomach.

It was as if he couldn’t even remember which death was which anymore.

After a long moment, he barely managed to suppress his terror and look up at me.

I was calm.

He was terrified.

He must have remembered, too.

This was the first time we had ever met.

Matteo burst into tears and lunged forward, grabbing my pant leg.

“Cosima… I… I like you. I want to be with you. As soon as I’m old enough, I’ll marry you.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll handle my family. I won’t let anyone stop us.”

“I swear I mean it.”

“Please say yes. I really do like you…”

The room erupted in shocked gasps.

I smiled and asked the system, “See? Makes the task pretty simple, doesn’t it?”

The system was too weak to speak.

But even it had to admit that this method was fast.

I took off my backpack and looked through it.

Matteo asked carefully, “Cosima, what are you looking for?”

I pulled out a utility knife and smiled.

“Found it.”

The blade was sharp.

I gripped the handle and sliced open Matteo’s throat.

As he collapsed, his lips were still moving.

“I… I already said yes…”

The classroom dissolved into chaos.

Everyone fought to rush outside.

The system was still struggling.

“This time you really could have completed the task. Why did you kill him again?”

I looked up at the world already beginning to break apart and said, “I want a world without him.”

“This world doesn’t need him. I’m enough.”
