My Cruel Husband Let Me Die So I Married His Brother Chapter 07
Dante murmured in my ear, “Perfect timing. He never seems to have any strength, but now he wants to steal my thunder.”
“Too bad for him. I’m her husband. I’m the groom.”
From the moment he was dragged away, Griffin had done nothing but stare at me. He hadn’t spoken another word.
I would have thought he’d be relieved.
This time, I wasn’t clinging to him, insisting he marry me.
After the ceremony, my father announced in front of everyone that Dante would be taking over the Moretti family.
“Father.”
Griffin’s expression finally changed.

My father looked at him coolly.
“If he doesn’t know, he can learn. I’m still alive. I can teach him.”
“You’re more capable, yes. But the heir must be my daughter’s husband. If you won’t marry Daphne, then you don’t qualify.”

For years, because of me, my father had always favored Griffin over Dante.
He gave him more opportunities, more responsibility.
Griffin had always assumed the family would one day be his.
Last time, it had been.
He just hadn’t realized the inheritance was tied to me.
But judging by the look on his face, losing it all was still a better option than marrying me.
After the wedding, Dante impatiently pulled me toward our room.
But Griffin suddenly stepped in front of us.
“Where is Ava? Are you still not going to let her go?”
“I never kidnapped Ava.”
I looked at him.
“If I had, I would admit it.”
“You’re so damn annoying. Get out of the way of our wedding night.”
Dante shoved him aside.
Griffin stumbled, his expression darkening.
