She Stole My Fiancé So I Married The Prince Chapter 18

On Isabella’s third day in the heir’s wing, a dessert she had sent over personally tested positive for a lethal poison.

Her fingerprints were on the dessert box, and kitchen access records showed she had entered the preparation area alone and unsupervised.

That very night, the Royal Guard escorted her to the royal security center.

My parents rushed to the Royal Castle. The moment they saw me, they dropped to their knees on the reception room carpet.

“That’s impossible. Absolutely impossible!”

My mother’s face was as white as paper as she clutched at my skirt.

“Isabella is so timid. How could she ever poison you?”

My father’s eyes were red as he roared, “Did you frame her?”

“Now that you have royal status, is this how you hurt your own sister?”

Looking at their panicked, nearly insane expressions, I thought of how soon they would hear Isabella’s true feelings, and a flicker of satisfaction rose in me.

I lifted my coffee and said calmly, “She sent the dessert. The access authorization was hers. And the Healer found poison in it.”

“I am Prince Rowan’s publicly acknowledged wife. Someone tried to poison the wife of the heir to the throne. Of course the Royal Guard is going to investigate.”

“You’re the ones who brought her into this place with your own hands. You should have realized long ago that once she moved against me, Westvale would no longer be able to cover for her.”
