They Called My Daughter A Bastard Until The Lycan Queen Called Me Mom Chapter 03
Who Is Your Sister?
The Blackwoods light up.
“Commander Hart! Save us!”
Gavin points at me.
“This woman broke into our Pack with armed guards just to ruin Lily’s mating cerenomy.”
Helena joins in.
“You care about Lily. You even sent her mating gifts. Please don’t let them hurt her.”
The guests whisper again.
“Commander Hart never gets involved with Pack families.”
“He came straight back from the border for this mating ceremony.”
“Then Blackwood really does have his protection.”
Lily pushes past her parents.
A shy smile appears on her face.
“Commander Hart.”
She lowers her eyes.
“You’ve always been so kind to me, even though we’ve never met.”
She glances at me.
“If you hadn’t come, I’m afraid my Mating Ceremony would have been destroyed.”
Then she adds softly, “Please don’t be too hard on them. Everything they did was because Sera is jealous of me. I don’t want my parents or brother hurt over this.”
Kael stares at her.
For several long seconds.
Then he frowns.
“Who the hell are you?”
Silence.
Lily’s smile freezes.
Kael looks around.
“Where’s my sister?”
Everyone stares.
I speak from behind them.
“Kael.”
His body goes stiff.
“Kneel.”
The Royal Commander turns.
The second he sees me, his eyes widen.
Then, to everyone’s shock, he drops straight to one knee.
I walk over and smack the back of his head.
“I told you to look after Sera.”
Kael rubs his head and grins at me.
“Mom, when did you get to Royal City? Why didn’t you tell us?”
The whole courtyard explodes.
“Mom?”
“That old lady — she’s Commander Hart ‘s mother? No one’s ever even heard of her before.”
“I thought he was an orphan.”
Kael ignores them.
He looks up at me.
“I’ve been at the border. I only rushed back because I heard my little sister was was having her mating ceremony.”
My expression turns colder.
“But I already sent gifts ahead and made it clear she’s under my protection. No one should’ve dared touch her.”
His cold gaze sweeps over the room — a warning carved in ice.
But the only ones trembling are the Blackwood packhouse.
My voice drops.
“Then look around. Where is your little sister?”
Kael finally registers that something is very, very wrong. His eyes go wide.
“Wait — where is she? Where’s Sera?”
No one answers.
Derek’s face has gone pale.
After a long moment, he forces out, “Commander Hart… when you say your sister, you mean Sera?”
Kael looks at him like he’s stupid.
“Who else?”
Lily’s face loses all color.
Kael turns back to me.
“Mom, where is she?”
“I’ve been asking them the same thing.”
He scans the courtyard again.
Then he sees one of the mating gift chests near the door.
A silver crest is carved into the lid.
His crest.
Kael walks over and rips it open.
Inside are the gifts he sent months ago.
He looks at Lily.
Then at Gavin.
Then at Helena.
His voice drops.
“You used my gifts for Sera in someone else’s Mating Ceremony?”
No one speaks.
Kael’s Alpha aura crashes through the courtyard.
Several weaker wolves flinch.
“You took my sister’s things?”
Gavin’s mouth opens.
Nothing comes out.
I have no patience left.
I look at all three Blackwoods.
“Where is my daughter?”
Still silence.
Rosalie hands me her blade.
I tap the flat side against Derek’s cheek.
“This is the last time I ask.”
“Tell me where my daughter is. Otherwise, Blackwood Pack ends today.”
Derek’s throat bobs.
Gavin and Helena exchange a nervous look.
Lily hides behind them.
Finally, Derek lowers his head.
“She’s…”
He hesitates.
“…at the Pit.”
The entire courtyard goes dead silent.
Then someone gasps.
“The Pit?”
Another she-wolf stares at the Blackwoods in horror.
“You…you sent your own daughter to The Pit?”
