Three Years For His Fiancée Chapter 09

Seeing his face turn pale all of a sudden, I added, “Kimberly already told me about it.”

“Nina, I can explain.”

Julian stiffly reached out, trying to pull me into his arms to explain.

Finneas slapped Julian’s hand away. “What exactly are you trying to do to my fiancée?”

“Nina, are you with him now?”

Even though we weren’t, I had to put on an act.

I nodded and leaned gently into Finneas’ embrace. “Julian, what you couldn’t give me, someone else will.

“What happened to your company was just a small lesson. I hope you and Kimberly won’t appear in front of me again.”

Even though Finneas was behind all of it, it didn’t stop me from borrowing his power to intimidate them.

Finneas looked at me, his eyes twinkling as he pinched my cheek.

Julian’s eyes dimmed. “I’ve let you down…

“Without me, you would have been happier.”

During this time, Julian had done a lot of thinking. Perhaps this was karma catching up to him.

Over the past decade, he hadn’t treated me well at all.

He summoned me whenever he pleased, lied freely, and never made things official. It was only right that I left him.

After losing me, he ended things with Kimberly as well.

Anthony and Alexandra were forced to separate. One lived with him, while the other lived with Kimberly. Moreover, he had plenty of shit to deal with.

Still, he knew he couldn’t tell me all this.

He only hoped I’d remember how sweet he was to me at the start.

If I had known what Julian was thinking, I would have scoffed at it.

If he and Kimberly had never entered my life, I would have worked hard to finish my studies and lived my own life.

Perhaps life wouldn’t be as comfortable, but I earned everything through my own effort.

My mind drifted back to how it all began ten years ago.

It turned out that from the moment he sponsored my education, it had all been a lie.

Every girl dreamed of being Cinderella and meeting her prince.

When Julian appeared, I truly saw him as my salvation.

He cared about me, paid attention to my feelings, and could even tell from my tone whether I was upset.

I thought that was love.

After all, no prince would treat a penniless Cinderella that well for no reason.

Only now did I understand that everything had been destined all along.

Julian was my calamity, and I had already moved past it.
I would seal those painful memories away forever.

From now on, I would spend each day with Finneas.

I firmly believed that my future would be happier.
