You Told Me To Walk So I Walked Right Out Of Your Lives Chapter 10
I shook my head.
“I’ve already paid you back. I have nothing to do with you anymore.”
My father’s voice immediately hardened.
“Don’t push it! If Sofia hadn’t specifically asked you to come, do you think you’d still have the right to set foot in this house?”
“Sofia is willing to share her happy news with you. You couldn’t even get into a state university, so what’s with the attitude?”
Ronan’s voice cut in, cold and sharp. “She’s probably just trying to play the victim again.”
I had heard words like that too many times to count.
I answered calmly, “Thank you for the invitation. I’m not coming back because, as we’ve established, we’re no longer related.”
“But as an outsider, I sincerely congratulate Ms. Santoro. I hope everything goes smoothly for her.”
The other end of the line went silent for two seconds.
I didn’t wait. I just hung up.
That evening, I stood outside the school waiting for Leo.
To keep an eye on him, I arrived and left at the same time he did every day.
But all I got was a text.
“Had the driver take me home already~ Guess you’re on your own tonight, tutor, haha.”
I sighed.
Leo had always resisted studying, which meant he resisted me.
If he could avoid me, he would.
I was about to call an Uber and go back to settle the score with him when a Rolls-Royce pulled up in front of me.
