Godmother To His Son Then I Took His Kingdom Chapter 13

Graham burst into Evelyn’s living room and threw the DNA report, the phone data, and the forged cremation authorization onto the table in front of her.

“You used Mara’s phone to lure her parents to the villa? You killed them?”

Evelyn’s eyes swept over the documents. She slowly set down her teacup.

“Yes, I did. So what?” She smiled. “Their hearts were weak. They chose to drive in a storm.”

Graham’s eyes went bloodshot. “And the ashes?”

“I forged the signature, and I scattered them in the harbor.”

At last, she dropped all pretense. The smile on her face was triumphant.

“A girl who needed charity just to go to college—what gave her the right to marry into the Whitmore family, to sit on the foundation board, to be praised by everyone? Those things should have been mine.”

She stepped closer, her eyes boring into his.

“That trip at the museum? I did that, too. You should have seen her lying there in a pool of her own blood. Such a pity you missed it. She really thought having a child meant she’d won.”

Graham’s fists trembled at his sides.

Evelyn only smiled wider. “I wanted her to lose her parents, her child, her marriage—everything. And you—”

Her gaze raked over him with pure contempt.

“You were just the most useful piece on the board. Every single time, you chose me.”

That sentence shattered the last of Graham’s sanity.

He didn’t touch her. He just took out his phone and dialed 911.

The smile froze on Evelyn’s face.

He gave the address, each word clear and cold.

“I want to report a crime. The suspect is Evelyn Cabot. Charges include document forgery, intentional assault, and negligent homicide.”
