Three Years For His Fiancée Chapter 07

Meanwhile, the Reegan family hosted a banquet.

When Julian and Kimberly arrived with the children, their faces were full of exhaustion.

The online reports kept spreading endlessly. No matter how hard they tried to erase them, more kept appearing.

Kimberly even smashed a vase and broke the TV at home.
“Damn it, I knew Athena still had something up her sleeve!”

Her face twisted with rage, frightening Anthony and Alexandra. They burst into loud cries, asking for their father to hold them.

“Enough! Stop crying!”

Kimberly shouted, now finding the two children born from Athena especially unpleasant to look at.

She opened the closet door and pushed the two children inside. “Stay in there. Don’t come out until you’ve stopped crying!”

By the time Julian returned, Anthony and Alexandra had cried themselves to sleep in the dark closet.

“Calm down, Kimberly.”

Julian rubbed his forehead, looking at the agitated woman with a heavy gaze. “No matter how angry you are, you shouldn’t take it out on the children.

“It makes me question whether you can be a good mother.”

Those words instantly ignited Kimberly’s anger.

“I know what’s on your mind, Julian—you’re secretly happy that Athena isn’t dead, aren’t you? Are you hoping to reconcile with her?”

Kimberly threw the investigation files in his face. “Too bad, though. You’ve been fooled.

“Athena has already hooked up with some foreign guy who helped her get revenge.”

Julian skimmed through everything quickly, his eyes lingering on Athena’s pale face for a long time.

Kimberly had investigated thoroughly, even including Athena’s medical report.

“Broken ribs, a fractured lower leg, injected with unknown substances…”

Images of the injuries on Athena’s body when she was sent to prison suddenly flashed through his mind.

He looked up sharply. “Were you behind all this?”

A trace of guilt flashed in Kimberly’s eyes, but she quickly steadied herself.

“Who cares? I’m your fiancée, Julian. I’m the one you’re marrying.

“Don’t you think it’s ridiculous that you’re questioning me over someone insignificant?”

Julian opened his mouth to respond, but all he felt was bitterness filling his chest.

When Athena needed his trust the most, he chose to believe Kimberly’s lies. His actions hurt Athena badly.

She had given up on him, hadn’t she?

Julian hurriedly left the house with the children.
He didn’t dare think about how much he had hurt Athena, and could only look at the two children born from her, feeling a quiet sorrow.

Even Anthony and Alexandra were not actually Athena’s biological children.

Julian couldn’t imagine how heartbroken Athena would be if she found out.

“Julian, why haven’t those scandals been dealt with yet?”

Edward Reegan, the head of the Reegan family, steadied himself with his cane and called Julian aside. “I don’t care what’s going on between you and Kimberly.

“However, you need to understand that once the Reegan family is disgraced, we have no choice but to step in.”

Julian nodded. “I’ll be sure to handle it, Grandpa.”

Just as Edward was about to speak, the butler hurried over and whispered something in his ear.

Edward’s expression changed instantly, and he swung his cane straight at Julian.

“Kneel, you ingrate!”
